Booking performers is the duty of the Artistic Director, in consultation with the rest of the Board of Directors.

If you interested in the Folk Club could bringing in a specific performer, please contact Dean Clark, Artistic Director, at artdirector@kelownafolkclub.ca

As we plan our season, there are specific things we look at:
•    Cost of the performer
•    Mix of local, Canadian, and International talent
•    Familiar and not familiar names
•    Repeat performers/first-time acts
•    Genre

In order to keep to our mandate of promoting folk music, we strive to bring in favourite acts as well as performers who are not well known.  In this way, we support as many musicians as possible while exposing our audience to new acts who will hopefully become favourites as well.
